RADIXIA (Latin for ‘origin’) is a collaborative solution that provides a platform to capture the lineage of raw materials and tangible goods as they move from supply to manufacture and distribution. According to an industry report, 80% of shoppers wish to know the origin of the produce they buy from retailers. This new solution not only caters to these desires but also provides producers and retailers with opportunities to differentiate their products and guarantee authenticity.
Working in association with Prof. Bill Buchanan OBE of Napier University and CENSIS, the Centre for Excellence in Sensor and Imaging Systems, Eyecademy’s in-house team is developing an innovative product in this exciting and fast-paced field. Prof. Bill Buchanan is a leading researcher in Blockchain technology, creating and building the world’s first Advanced Blockchain Identity Laboratory earlier this year. Among many accreditations for his research and contributions of knowledge, he was appointed as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2017 for services to cybersecurity. CENSIS is the industry-led Innovation Centre for the diverse domain of Sensor and Imaging Systems (SIS) technologies and their applications. The Glasgow-based centre strives to increase the pace of innovation of SIS technologies, contributing to the Scottish economy across a multitude of industries.
