Alteryx: Data Analytics for Higher Education
21st March @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am
To enhance its position as one of the world’s leading research and teaching universities, the University of Edinburgh relies on accurate and up-to-date data to inform decision-making. In an increasingly competitive global market place, data-driven insight is crucial to managing and optimising the postgraduate admissions process.
Join us with Alteryx for breakfast and learn how Dr. John Tullis from the University of Edinburgh uses Alteryx to automate the production of weekly and monthly reports that reveal patterns and trends in student admissions data. Extracting data from SAP BusinessObjects and manipulating tables in Excel was becoming overly time-consuming, error-prone and unsustainable.
In this session, John will demonstrate how he uses Alteryx to create repeatable workflows to drastically reduce the hours required to produce these reports. (Please note that sample data will be randomised and anonymised in keeping with the University’s commitment to data protection.)
As partners of Alteryx, we are supporting their breakfast briefing in Edinburgh, and hope to see you there!
